Job duties and same/similar job functions will be deciding factor. If your GC is for Programmer Analyst and if you become manager as Assets Manager, it will be an issue. If you are promoted as IT manager having significant overlap of job functions, you should be fine.
if you are like my manager, who forgot how to open IDE and always works on some obsolete excel sheets/ project plans/ outlook, you will have trouble...
Bottomline, dont leave development even if you become manager.

Some lawyers ask for bank statement and w2s and file I 864 with GC to show proof that you can support your dependents(if you have any). Ideally I 864 is only required when you file Family based GC.
Some other lawyers similarly ask for I 134 and bank statement to show that you can support dependents. Again this is NOT REQUIRED.
There is no clarity on what should be done. Each lawyer has his/her own style of filing 485 so if your lawyer asked for it, provide it. If not, don't bother. I know of people filing with and without 864 or 134 and still getting approved.

Thats not the case. USCIS will revoke employment based AOS since mariage based AOS has higher priority. So the process would be, they would call for a normal interview and then hand you a paper that

Its just because you were in this country legally for a long time they will go through all the required paper work. IT MEANS DELAY in processing or may be RFE to get more details.

Do you think its possible to merge all the databases in just 10 days? How realistic is it?
Howcome they put such a tight deadline for this database merger ? If they can do this in 10 days then Nov'2008 VB might have few surprises.

Hi,
I am waiting for replys.
But with in one month of my h1 approval of nov2007 i came to India.
I did one certification(one paper) in one language in november2007.
I have only one paystub.Do i need my employer 3 yrs tax papers.I am the 1st employee to my employer.Is any other documents needed other than pictures of my employers office,tax papers.Did i have to submit my indian experience or any other documents from indian company.Right now Can i change years of experience in india(Actually i submitted in h1 process 2 +yrs of experience in india,Can i change that to 1 yr exp in india now.Because i missed few documents of india experience).
In which location is easy for me to stamp delhi|mumbai|chennai.
Pls post experiences and needed docs.

Use your DigiCam
Take pictures on white/light Background
Focus till your waist ( important ).
Then take the card/chip to walmart.
Use the photocenter/kiosk there,
opt for wallet size,$.28 ( each wallet order will print 2 pictures in it )
autoadjust / manual contrast for extra brightness and print it.
collect in 1/2 hr, cut the pictures as needed.
I paid $2 total.

Point is my lawyer has recommended against using Digital Paper.
Passport Pix are supposed to be on Polaroid Paper - is what he recommends. I didnt find anything regarding this on INS Photo specification site..but I will stick to what my lawyer says.

My I-140 and I-485 also has different A numbers. I had 2 more approved I-140s which has different A numbers as well. How and when will get consolidated to a single file?
Gurus who have more insight into this process, please enlighten us.

I think its ok to have different A#'s except when you are trying to get your I-485 adjudicated and you want to use the earliest PD from your multiple I-140's.

There is no easy way to consolidate all your I-140s and link them to your I-485 - get infopass, contact IO, get congressperson or senator involved, write to the ombudsman etc people have tried various means and no one knows what clicked for them - but

Why did u change employer, w/o getting any info about filing with ne wemployer befor ahead.
If you file in 2008 (No matter whetehr it is Eb2 or Eb3), as per present situation u can forget for next 10 + years.

In order to apply under EB1, she must be L1-A holder which means her positions before/after the internal transfer are at executive or managerial level (some companies are very strict on their definition of "executive" level, usually not for someone with 3 years experience). Otherwise she can only get L1-B for skilled worker which is not qualified for EB1.
Her best bet is to apply for H1-B, the fact that her husband is GC holder does not matter to her H1-B application as long as her employer gets her H1-B quota and 797.
