General Motors emerged from bankruptcy today and promises it is the beginning of a new age for America's leading car manufacturer. Canadian-born Ray Young, the child of Chinese immigrants, is one of the folks leading GM to what will hopefully be a return to profitability. Hi, my friend have not receive her fingerprint, her husband filed for I-485 on june 2007. their PD is 2004-ROW. their case forwarded into TSC. do you think this is normal ? what is the possible solution for this issue ?

Hello All,
I am an Indian citizen and a Permanent Resident of Canada. My Fiance is a US Citizen and we're planning to settle down soon. I also have a valid 10 year US B1/B2 Visa.
I know that if one marries a US Citizen you can get US Green Card but I am not sure about the processes. I want to know what is the best procedure so that I can be in the US quickly and also have my green card.
I know there is something known as Fiance visa but I'm not sure how it works.
Can anyone please elaborate and guide me into this situation.

Hi folks,
My company filed for I-485 on July 2nd and I am yet to get a receipt for the same. I understand that usually it takes 1-3 months to get FP request after filing I-485 but in these circumstances, what should be the expectation for receiving FP request?
The reason for asking is because my wife is tired of waiting to do a job and is planning to go to India and work there until she gets EAD. If she leaves now and we get a FP request in her absence, what are my options?
1) Can I delay the FP appointment?
2) Can I go alone and have myself finger-printed (assuming that wife doesn't want to come back to US, that is, not interested in GC anymore)?
3) How does it impact EAD/AP which have not been filed yet but will be filed after getting the I-485 filing receipt.

Roll Call has an interesting analysis of this. Some Democrats believe that they have the votes and they can use immigration reform to brand their party as the true home for the country's Hispanic voters only if they leave the GOP out of the process. And most in the GOP will probably be fine with this except the small number that understand just how dangerous it is for the future of the GOP to be branded the anti-immigrant party.
