What are those little green squares that show up with our names when we post something?? When you hover over them you see a ToolTip message.
Are they supposed to tell us if we've been Naughty or Nice this year? :cool:
They represent reputation points.Everyone will have one at starting.As people start to add you the reputation points..The green squares will increase.Sometimes they depend on number of posts you posted in the forum.

My wife's online status shows an RFE being issued. It has been more than 10 days but we are yet to receive it? Is this normal?

I did my masters in US and have got my H1 B status which expires next year. Had a few question. Just to add to my situation i have not got my H1 stamping done on my passport.
Q1. Can i apply for an extesion without a visa stamp.
A. Yes, you can. You only need stamp if you leave the US.]
Q2. How early can i apply for an extenstion.
A. Within 6 months from the first date of the H1 period.

What are the timelines for I-539 Change of Status for H1 to H4?
Is premium processing option available for the this change of status?
Friend worked till last week of pregnancy (clean H1 history before). Her 12 weeks of maternity leave is ending soon and looks like the family needs to pay attention to child's condition and she has no choice but to become a full-time mom (another full-time job in itself though). She was in status during her maternity leave (some part of which was covered by STD insurance, remaining unpaid leave totaling 12 weeks under FMLA). She needs to change her status from H1 to H4.

Hello Gurus,
My 6 years H1B visa term is expiring on Apr 30th 2008. My company filed 3 years of extension on approved I140 basis, which is still pending as of Apr 30th 2008. And my I 94 is dated till Apr 30th 2008.
I filed my I 485 in June 2007 and got EAD and AP
1) What will be my status after Apr 30 2008. Will I still be on H1 status, if not what will be my status.
And what is 'H1 pending for 240 days rule'.
Your answer is very much appriciated.

Nebraska Service Center mailed I-131 approval notices for me and my wife on 28th Oct. But we never received them. Its been a month now. So, I called USCIS today morning and they say I need to reapply for I-131 for my whole family because some one else might have picked it up.
I called up post office. They say they have no mails on hold.
Is reapplying the only way out?

From over an year, I have been working on EAD. Recently I resigned from my job, however I am still looking for a new job. I have a few questions related with EAD:
1. Even after leaving the company, is it legal for me to stay in the country and for how long?
2. Can I look for any kind of job on EAD or there is any restrictions?
3. Is it possible that my former employer can cancel my EAD?
4. If I find a new job, do I have to use immigration lawyers of my former employer to help renew my EAD, travel document etc. from time to time or I can hire another immigration lawyer?

If there's enough support for it in the group, chapter leaders will take it up with the Core. Once sanctioned by the core, it will become a real 'Action Item' on IV.

Suppose I am employed in H-1b with employer �X� for position �A�. Employer �X� filed my Labor Certification and I-140 for a future position �B� and got both approved. Position �A� and position �B� have at least 50% different job duties.
I file my I-485 and it is pending for more than 180 days. I get a better offer from employer �Y�. Now, I want to transfer my H1-B to employer �Y� using AC21 portability rule. My job description with employer �Y� should be similar to position �A� or position �B�?

On subsequent (multiple employers, same employer) you dont come under the cap like fromnaija said
once H1 is approved it is valid, Once you start working for that employer you shall get paid for it (it doesnt mean you'll have to work if you have a H1)
It does not invalidate the other H1 (till the other employer revokes it) - hope this answers your question

We should have some comparison on this because some of us from China against. I seen many ROW against.
